Social Ministries

Our Social Ministries Committee promotes and educates the congregation on local, national and international areas of need or concern. The committee enables the congregation to support specific ministries, such as volunteering at the Free Lunch Program and administering Operation Backpack for our neighbors at Twain Elementary. The committee publicizes and involves the congregation in special offerings such as Strengthening the Church, The Christmas Fund, Neighbors In Need, and One Great Hour of Sharing. The Social Ministries Committee also works closely with other church committees on programs that promote membership and participation within the life of the congregation. Finally, the committee also coordinates fundraising to benefit projects such as DVIP, Shelter House, CRC, and other sources of aid and uplift in our community.

Members and Friends of the church volunteer at our food pantry.
